Baianat-IP Participation In JEDCO’s First Awareness Session “IP Capacities For Smart, Sustainable And Inclusive Growth In The Mediterranean Region”
Baianat-IP has proudly participated in the First Awareness Session “Intellectual Property Capacities for Smart, Sustainable and Inclusive Growth in the Mediterranean Region” held virtually by the Jordanian Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) in Amman, Jordan on the 18th.August.2020. Baianat-IP stood up as a representative of the private sector and Intellectual Property (IP) specialized firms.
This session brought together representatives from the public sector, SMEs and Entrepreneurs in order to discuss together about concrete and effective support under JEDCO and its donors, with IP as a main core for economic development, capacity building and policy development of IP rights.
A strong bond between Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), research and innovation forms a fundamental pillar for knowledge-based economies such as Jordan. Crucial for the development and competitiveness of start-ups, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and entrepreneurs, IPR is an aspect that is usually unknown or overlooked by these groups in business decision-making.
JEDCO CEO Bashar Al Zou’bi said “In the increasingly knowledge driven economy, IP is a key consideration in day-to-day business decisions. New Products, brands and creative designs appear almost daily on the market and are the result of continuous human innovation and creativity, SMEs are often the driving force behind such innovations”.
Baianat-IP aims to drive comprehensive IP awareness out of its national and social responsibility. In addition, Baianat-IP will be providing its services to strengthen public and private partnership, for SMEs and Entrepreneurs in a collaborative effort to add value to an increasingly knowledge driven economy.
