SAIP Controls the Stores of Electronic Devices and Publications

As part of Saudi Authority of Intellectual Property efforts to protect IP rights, the inspection teams of the SAIP , in cooperation with the Saudi Public Security, made field raids targeting commercial stores that violate intellectual property rights regulations in various regions of the Kingdom. This comes as an extension of the regular field raids that the inspection teams make to public facilities and shops.

The campaign focused during its first phase on computers, publications, audio and electronics stores in which intellectual property rights are violated in the conduct of their activities. The authority stresses the importance of respecting intellectual property rights, and that it will not be negligent in taking the necessary measures to hold accountable violators of the regulations in all areas in which the authority is concerned with taking care of its rights.
