OFFICIAL: UAE Government Sector Weekends shifted to Saturday and Sunday as of 1st Jan 2022
The UAE’s federal government departments will change their working week starting from January 1, 2022.
Government departments will adopt a new four and a half day working week. The new working days shall be from Monday to Thursday, with a half day on Friday from 7:30 to 12:0. Saturday and Sunday will be the new weekend days for UAE government workers.
No specific instructions or guidance was made relating to the private sector.
