About Yemen
Yemen is an Arab country located in the southwest of the Arabian Peninsula in Western Asia. The capital of Yemen is Sana’a. Yemen has more than two hundred islands in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea, the largest of which are Socotra and Hanish. Yemen’s economy depends on limited oil and gas resources that are not well utilized, and this sector, although it constitutes the largest percentage of the GDP, is still undeveloped. Historically, Yemen is an agricultural country, but it depends on the income of its sea lanes and ports.
